A flock of dolphins, who visited us on RV Sonne near Rio del la Plata delta, Uruguay.

After a short trip to Iceland I thought summer would be gone for the rest of the year. With quite moderate and comfy temperatures we could enjoy dozen of butterflies in our garden, feeding on the last few plants that offer them some nectar. Beautiful to watch….

Bumblebee, maybe a Brown-banded carder bee

Currently, we are experiencing a great late summer. While we were enjoying our garden, I noticed that the bumblebees were busy again getting the most out of whats left to feed them. Here are some close-ups.

This Sunday was all about testing some photography skills. We had a nice day at the Wolfcenter in Dörverden. Thank you Claudia, Carmen and Anja 😉

I am not really sure if you can call this “summer” this year. Too much time to spent inside and process pictures…..

Anyway, time to re-visit the Weltvogelpark Walsrode to practice and test equipment for the next trip …..

Great crested grebe

It’s mid February and the great crested grebes are already in the mood for the upcoming spring….

… photographed on Valentine’s Day. I am tended to call this Pure unadulterated Valentine’s Day kitsch.
